In this newsletter:
Dear Ones,
On Veteran’s Day, in Emmett, ID at the high school, the VFW sponsored a program honoring WWII veterans. My father-in-law is one. The band played, the choir sang, one very brave trumpeter played Taps, and he was presented with a quilt from Quilts of Valor, a wonderful program that makes quilts for our veterans. At the end, the students formed two lines for the veterans to walk through, honoring them and shaking their hands. It was inspiring to see such kindness and generosity of spirit. Thank you to everyone involved. You made one 93-year-old, and his family, very happy.
If you’d like information about Quilts of Valor, to make them or to request a quilt for yourself (thank you for serving!) or a veteran loved one, you can find that information here.
BECAUSE I’M WATCHING Honor!

BECAUSE I’M WATCHING hit Amazon’s List of Best Romance of 2016! This is my first time to make the list with any of my books, I’m honored to be in the company of such great authors…and I’m so happy for Jacob and Mad Maddie, Kateri and all of the fabulous Virtue Falls characters!
Most of all, thank you for your support and enthusiasm. BECAUSE I’M WATCHING is a word of mouth book—my readers tell other readers who tell other readers, and I am honored and grateful.

HOUSE REPAIR UPDATE
Finally, I want you all to sit down. I have momentous news.
On Tuesday, October 25, after a mere 230 days…our home was repaired. The last patch of tile was replaced on our roof. There is no longer any evidence that a tree fell on our house. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive. My husband and I really appreciate it. And yes, his hand is much better!
A funny story related to those last repairs:
Phone rings. Caller ID says it’s my husband who is on the roof with the contractors. Husband: “Would you do me a favor? Would you set up the ladder again so we can get off the roof?”
Heh. For mere moments, I held the POWER.
It was a very temporary pleasure. But sometimes temporary pleasures are the best.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the U.S., and happy reading to everyone!
Warmly,
Christina Dodd
