I recently interviewed New York Times bestselling author Amanda Quick on Facebook about her Burning Cove series, and while we were live, I asked the tough questions:
— Who is Jayne Ann Krentz and why does she look so much like Amanda Quick? What about Jayne Castle? Is she another doppelganger?
— Book #1 in the Burning Cove series, THE GIRL WHO KNEW TOO MUCH, starts with a woman discovering a murder and a secret notebook with cryptic markings. She flees to California, becomes a reporter and discovers another murder in an exclusive hotel filled with Hollywood people. You introduce a man who was formerly a stage magician and who was hurt in an onstage accident, and his inventor uncle. You add a spoiled actor, a frightened assistant, a washed-up actor, a star-obsessed killer, a ruthless guy who cleans up messes for the studio… All in the first fifty pages. How do you come up with these plots?
— You recently confessed that the dust bunnies are rising once again. What more can you tell us?
